A Scenic Rail Freedom Pass is a 'Hop
On/Hop Hop' travel pass that allows you to travel on New
Zealand's long distance passenger train services between Auckland
and Wellington, Christchurch and Greymouth and ferry sailings
between the North and South Islands by choosing the number of days
and then use them whenever it suits, for up to 12 months from the
date of purchase. Scenic Rail Freedom Pass includes - * Train and ferry travel for the days purchased Scenic Rail Freedom Pass can be used to travel north to south or south to north. Scenic Rail Freedom Pass is ideal for 1 week to 12 month stay in New Zealand. Scenic Rail Freedom Pass is suited for the independent traveller, families or small groups, who are travelling together on the same routes, to the same destinations. You can not purchased 'Top Up' travel days once pass has been purchased and after travel has commenced. A Scenic Rail Freedom Pass can not be used any suburban train service in Auckland or Wellington or on the Capital Connection train between Wellington and Palmerston North or the Wairarapa Connection between Wellington, Featherston and Masterton. Scenic Rail Freedom Pass does not include any accommodation or long distance bus travel to other New Zealand destinations. Train services between Christchurch/Kaikoura/Picton and return will operate from 27 September 2013 to 4 May 2014 only Auckland/Wellington and Christchurch/Arthurs Pass/Greymouth train services are still operating |
